What are the installation requirements for electric gate valves? What should we pay attention to?

  Electric gate valves can be installed on horizontal or vertical pipes. Single and double gate valves should be installed on horizontal pipes. The handwheel should be located above the valve and must not be installed downwards. The flow direction of the medium in the electric gate valve is not restricted.

  Electric gate valves are usually flanged or welded for special applications.

  For large-diameter, high-pressure gate valves, the opening and closing torque is relatively large. In order to reduce the opening and closing torque, a bypass valve can be installed. The bypass valve is installed outside the main gate valve, and its inlet and outlet are connected in parallel with both sides of the main gate valve. The bypass valve should be opened before the main gate valve is opened. After entering the valve, the pressure difference between the front and rear gates of the main gate valve can be reduced, thereby reducing the opening torque of the main gate valve. The selection of the bypass valve caliber should be considered based on the main valve caliber and usage requirements.

  The electric gate valve is a kind of stop valve, and its sealing performance is worse than that of the stop valve. The main "responsibility" of the electric gate valve is to "cut off the flow" and "continue the flow" with minimal resistance. It is not suitable for adjusting the flow and pressure of the medium. If it is adjusted for a long time, the sealing surface will be easily washed and worn by the medium, affecting the sealing performance.

  Attention should be paid to the medium temperature, pressure and reliability of use of electric gate valves. Under high temperature and high pressure, the gate may die due to temperature changes. At the same time, due to the uneven temperature of the medium, it is easy to cause leakage. Check valve types but gate valves are particularly noticeable.
